Exclusive Services

Our head lice technicians offer the highest possible standard of service with every treatment and have all undergone an extensive training program.  All of technicians have previous experience within the medical or childcare industry and are considered experts in everything from head lice detection through a comprehensive scalp analysis to the successful treatment and removal of head lice.  Our technicians love to chat and will put your mind at ease with their comprehensive knowledge on all things lice and what to do next.  They also enjoy being able to bust most of the head lice myths you’ve heard in the past.

Scalp Analysis

Every client making a booking knows or assumes to have an active case of head lice. Fortunately, this is not always the case. Quite often clients are simply suffering from an irritated scalp and sometime its nothing more than psychosomatic.  By performing a scalp analysis, our technicians can determine within minutes if lice are present and what type of treatment, if any, is required.  We also want to make sure that the scalp is healthy enough to treat for head lice.

Initial Treatment

Once it has been established there is a viable case of head lice a treatment will need to be performed.   Your technician will apply our natural lice solution to the head working section by section starting at the base of the neck moving upward toward the forehead, ensuring every strand of hair is thoroughly coated.

Once application is complete the solution will be left on to do its work for 10 minutes.  The solution is then thoroughly rinced off and conditioner is applied and again rinced off.

Your technician will then perform a section by section comb through to remove any dead lice that may remain.

Lice treatments will take between 30 min to 1 hour.

Follow Up Treatment

If lice or live eggs were present, and treatment was provided, a follow up treatment will have been scheduled for 10 days time. A follow up treatment is absolutely necessary to ensure we break the cycle.  Although all live lice have been removed, live eggs may still be present. Eggs will take between 7-9 days to hatch. If the follow up treatment is not completed after 10 days, the lice will be old enough to breed and the cycle will begin again. The follow up treatment is charged at the same price as the first/initial treatment.  After your initial treatment, usually around day 3-4, your scalp may start to itch slightly as the nits start to hatch. This is normal.  If persistent itching occurs, a conditioner comb through can offer some relief.
